Rogelio Duque Obituary

Engr. Rogelio “Gil” Duque peacefully departed on January 29, 2026, at the age of 79 after bravely facing stage 4 gastroesophageal junction adenocarcinoma.

Gil was a devoted father, loving grandfather, husband, and family man whose life was marked by dedication, strength, and quiet generosity. Known for his jolly spirit and loving heart, he was a professional electrical engineer who took pride in his work and earned the respect of those around him. He served as a Consultant Electrical Engineer for different universities and colleges in Pangasinan, consultant of BYB Blue Sky in Bayambang, and electrical consultant for AILC Agricultural Infrastructure and Leasing Corporation. He also shared his knowledge as a college professor at Virgen Milagrosa University Foundation in the College of Engineering .

Beyond his professional achievements, Gil dedicated himself to public service. He was formerly elected as a barangay captain and later served as a city councilor, reflecting his deep commitment to his community. He was the beloved son of Agripino Duque Sr. and Francisca Duque, and the second-born among nine siblings.

He leaves behind a legacy of love through his children from his first marriage with his late wife, Rosalina Parayaoan Duque: Rogelyne Duque Delos Reyes, Rowyn Duque Santos, Roxyn Duque, Roldan Duque, and Niño Rexon Duque.

He is also lovingly remembered by his wife, Arlene Ochavez Duque, together with her children, Adrian Beltran, Ellaine Beltran Balbin, and Perlyn Beltran Alvarado, and their daughter together, Royce Raven Duque.

Gil believed strongly in doing things with care and excellence, often reminding his children: “Kung gagawin mo, gawin mo na rin nang tama.” This simple but powerful lesson reflects the values he lived by and the legacy he leaves behind.

Gil’s love for his family was the center of his life. His laughter, wisdom, and gentle presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

He will be forever cherished.
