Owner/Operator
Hi! I’m Natalie, owner and operator of Transcona
Cremation & Funeral Services Welcome to my website and an introduction to
who we are.
I was born and raised in a small rural
Franco-Manitoban farming community south west of Winnipeg. Nature, farming and
a connection to the land has been a part of my life from childhood. Life’s
natural cycles and the process of birth, living and dying have always been a
part of my life. After graduating from high
school, I immersed myself in education. I started with bookkeeping for
small business before going on to graduate from Western School of Funeral
Service and becoming a licensed funeral director and embalmer in Manitoba.
After working for independent traditional funeral
homes for over 20 years, I have decided to fulfill a career long desire to
provide bereaved families with what they truly want: simple, straight forward
and affordable final arrangements, an alternative to the traditional funeral home. I
believe in the value and importance of funerals, but I also believe it could be
done at an affordable and honest cost to the families I serve. Listening to
what their wishes are and providing it.
Outside of my professional life, I enjoy living an
active life with my two sons. We can often be found
traveling to the mountains for our snowboarding adventures, camping where ever
we can find a spot, fishing the Manitoba lakes, hiking, and biking.

Apprenticing Funeral Director/Embalmer
Hi. I’m Elise, the apprentice funeral director
and embalmer at Transcona Cremation and Funeral Services.
I was born and raised in Winnipeg Manitoba,
I’ve lived in several areas of the city including a couple years in Transcona.
I have always felt the need to help others around me and have had a high amount
of empathy in my heart since I was young.
After graduating high school I spent 3 years working on my bachelor of
science degree at the University of Manitoba. I found The Canadian College of
Funeral Services in 2024 and began my studies to become a funeral director and
embalmer here in Manitoba.
Being raised in a single mother household I
have always understood how difficult it can be to make big purchases, as well
as being able to afford them. Having the opportunity to provide families with
affordable final arrangements for their loved ones is something that I hold
dear.
Outside of my professional life, I love to
read and am a big movie buff. I love to go camping and hiking with my dog,
Dutchess, we are two peas in a pod.
